Hello!

I’m excited to be facilitating the upcoming Dev Demo Hour on Nov 6th at 4:00 pm EAT/ 1:00 pm GMT and am looking for members of the community who are interested in presenting!

@Astrozyt - We’ve already confirmed you’ll be demoing your master thesis work on the CHT Studio! Super excited to see this real time. Thank you!

@yuv - are you interested in demoing the work you did to add the impact metrics API? The PR for this has just been approved and the feature will ship in CHT 5.0.

@jonathan - for quite some months you’ve been working on native Android Notifications for the CHT. Recently, this has been scheduled to be in an upcoming Feature Release. Are you interested in demoing what you have so far?

Great idea @jkuester ! We haven’t heard from Yuvraj and if he ends up being available, we can always move the demo to the December call.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to guarantee my availability for the next few weeks as we’re gearing up to FINALLY deploy a newer version of CHT. My time is set aside to make that transition as smooth as possible and ensure stability. We’re also trying to squeeze in a few other pieces of work (Watchdog and festive season handover) before the year comes to a close.

Thank you so much for the invite @jkuester and @mrjones. As always, we’re grateful to be considered. I’m hoping that once our big-ticket items are out of the way, we’ll be a LOT more active next year :slightly_smiling_face: . Until then, we’ll do our best to stay as responsive as possible on the deduplicate and plugin threads.

No worries at all @Anro ! Folks are busy and these calls are always optional. Keep ust posted and feel free to self nominate for a demo on a future call!

Let’s go for it on Nov 6h - It’s nice to have the presenters squared away for the call so folks can both plan on how they want to demo and other folks can decide to attend.

For other community members who want to demo, there’s always future demo calls!

@mrjones Is the event on the 6th or the 5th? In the CHT Studio thread you mentioned the 5th ( CHT Studio, a desktop interface app for users of CHT - #2 by mrjones ). Both work for me, I just need to know when to be there and ready :slight_smile:

@Astrozyt @jonathan and @yuv - thank you again for offering to demo your recent work in and around the CHT. The call is less that 12 hours away - exciting times!

If you have a spare moment I recommend this 3m 30s video about screen sharig technical demos. While I suspect you may know the content in there, I’ll post it just in case! (Ignore OBS specific info :sweat_smile: )

Hi @all, I wanted to say thank you here as well for the great opportunity I had yesterday to present my little app idea/skeleton. Being received so warmly and getting such positive feedback definitely made me proud and motivated to keep improving it!
