In the context of CHT application, we can broadly divide testing into two types i.e.
(i) Manual Testing
(ii) Automated Testing
While manual testing is simpler to get started with, when it comes to testing complex applications automated testing can be faster, more reliable, reusable with minimal effort, cost efficient, and can cover a wider scope of scenarios.
This webinar covered automated testing of CHT applications with CHT test harness. CHT test harness is the open source package with the source code available in Github and the documentation available in the CHT documentation website. Writing tests for CHT apps requires a good understanding of the project workflows and requirements. Before you begin testing using the harness, there are few things you need to set up. You can find more details on preparation for CHT test harness setup here. The webinar includes the demo on writing test for forms and tasks in context of pregnancy registration and follow-ups.
