Greetings CHT community,

We are excited to invite you to our first CHT technical webinar on Thursday, Feb 1, 2024 at 4:00 PM EAT/1:00 PM GMT/6:45 PM NPT.

In this Webinar @kenn (Kenn Sippell) and @michael (Michael Kohn) will be sharing more about how CHT telemetry can be used to evaluate usage of CHT and its performance. They will also be discussing various telemetry example scenarios and demo how the telemetry system works.

Hello CHT community,

Thank you again for attending webinar on CHT Telemetry. We are sharing here the recording of the webinar and some highlights. Please do not hesitate to reach out by replying to this post if you have any questions.

Telemetry generally means automatic measurement and wireless transmission of data from remote sources. CHT applications have capability to automatically take measurements as the app is used, which is sent to the measurements to the server when users sync and eventually the data are made available for analysis in Postgres.

In CHT telemetry you can measure:

  • Startup: How long did it take to startup the application for the user?

  • Crashes: How often does the app crash for your user?

  • Replication: How often and how long does the replication take?

  • Forms: How often users edit forms after submitting? How long does it take to save the form for the user?

  • Other CHT Features, User Configuration, Geolocation, and Metadata on app, device, and database.

Furthermore, the presenters @kenn and @michael showed various examples as well as a demo of CHT Telemetry and discussed Telemetry document data flow and How Telemetry works in CHT.
