This new new release from ODK looks like a potentially great compliment to the CHT. It “adds Mapbox basemaps with the Maps SDK for Android, making the maps faster and easier to use especially in offline and limited connectivity environments.” I can see potential CHT applications for clinic location mapping, household location sharing, and CHW catchment area mapping. What community health use cases do you think would be relevant?

I think mapping is particularly interesting in relation to the Equity Lens work with Medic Mobile has pursued with Living Goods and Muso. Distance from a health facility, and potentially distance from your CHW, might enable us to develop a more precise understanding of barriers to care for specific households. A sense of how frequently far away households are visited (relative to nearby households) could then enter into CHWs’ targets and the analytics we use for supervision. Bravo ODK community!
