Hello CHT Community,
We will be having our bi-monthly Community Meetup on 9th September 2025 at 1 PM GMT.
This is a space where you will have the opportunity to listen, share, and explore ways to collaborate.
In the past meetup, community members raised the following topics:
- CouchDB Compaction Bug: A significant issue involves dangling compaction files consuming terabytes of storage.
- Slow Document Writes: Some instances experience very slow document write times (5-20 seconds).
- SMS De-duplication Challenges: A unique method to prevent duplicate pregnancy registrations within a day sometimes fails.
- Ongoing Investigations & Tools: The TCO squad is using tools like Nouveau to optimize views.
- Support Features: The CHT Toolbox and support validation rules are highlighted as very helpful tools for development and validating SMS function inputs.
These conversations are shaping the future of the CHT, and your input can make a real impact! Join us to contribute your ideas and help drive these and more critical initiatives forward.

For this meetup, we’ll have all the CHT squads sharing updates (and possible demos) on the ongoing work within the squads. Below is a list of the CHT squads:
