Here, you will get a chance to listen, share and explore opportunities to collaborate. This initiative combines online discussion forums with periodic real-time virtual meet-ups.

  • 5.0.0 coming soon, but several 4.x releases still planned first.

Community Engagement & Release Challenges

  • How to improve collaboration on feature prioritization, release cadence, etc.?
  • Fast release cycle: Only the last three minor versions are officially supported.
    • Some partners struggle to stay on supported versions.
    • Large MoH deployments upgrade only once/year—minor releases may not stay supported that long.
  • No major bugs since 4.8.0, but integration issues sometimes require core changes.

Potential Solutions

  • Continuous Deployment
  • LTS (Long-Term Support) releases
  • Less frequent release cadence

Helm Charts Improvements

  • Goal: Merge test and production Helm charts.
  • Current issues:
    • Helm charts bloat quickly.
    • No clear mapping between CHT versions and prod Helm charts.
  • Next steps:
    1. Simplify charts & store in cht-core.
    2. Streamline K8s deployment process.
