With the CHT being an offline-first platform, users are expected to periodically sync the collected data for reporting purposes. In many deployments, however, supervisors have limited visibility into which CHWs have recently synchronized their data. This makes it difficult to provide timely support and accurately monitor CHW activity and performance.
To address this, @Romuald_Dansou and team have been leading the efforts to develop an enhancement that supports displaying of CHW last sync date within the supervisor app. The current implementation displays the latest sync information on the CHW contact profile by leveraging an OpenFn workflow that processes telemetry data and generates reports within the CHT.
Building on this progress, the team is now exploring ways to make this information even more accessible by displaying sync status directly in the CHW list and using the UI Extensions framework to create dedicated components for viewing and monitoring synchronization activities. This would enable supervisors to quickly identify CHWs who may need follow-up without navigating into individual profiles, ultimately strengthening supervision and improving program operations across deployments.
@Anro, @simon, @philip and @iesmail, I know your teams previously expressed interest in this capability. We would really value your thoughts on the proposed approach and any feedback or implementation considerations that could help shape this enhancement.
