The Community Health Toolkit (CHT) has continued to empower health workers globally with the required open source tools to enable them to deliver quality, equitable and data driven care. By 2025, users using CHT had completed over 262 million caring activities, including maternal child health follow ups, immunization tracking, malnutrition screening and infectious disease response. That’s the power of community health, at scale. ![]()
But there is an important gap that we now have an opportunity to solve together!
Building and adapting CHT apps still requires technical coding expertise that most Ministries of Health (MOH’s) and implementing partners simply do not have internally. This can slow deployments, create sustainability challenges and limit the ability of program teams to directly manage and evolve the workflows they rely on every day.
Several projects across the community have already raised this need and the time to act is now.
We are forming a No Code CHT Configuration Squad: a collaborative group focused on designing and developing a form builder solution that will enable program teams to configure and update CHT applications without writing code. This is a community effort and members can contribute by helping to shape the requirements for the proposed solution, writing code, testing and creating technical documentation.
Please reply to this thread if you are interested in participating in this squad. ![]()
