AI Assistance Guidelines for CHT Contributors 🤖

We have created an AI Assistance Guidelines for CHT contributors. As AI coding tools become increasingly integrated into development workflows, we want to make a space where we can learn together and share what works (and what doesn’t!) when using these tools with the CHT.

These guidelines aim to strengthen our collective learning as we explore AI tools together. Whether you are using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, or other AI assistants, sharing your experience helps everyone in the community.

What are the guidelines about?

Just add a quick note in your PR description:

  • Which tool you used

  • How you used it (e.g., “Claude Code for initial implementation, wrote tests manually”)

That’s it! This helps maintainers understand your process and builds our collective knowledge.

Let’s learn together

This is an iterative process. We are learning what works best for the CHT community and will review these guidelines regularly to stay current with evolving technologies and practices. Your feedback shapes how we approach this, so please share thoughts and ideas!
