Targets in the Community Health Toolkit (CHT) can be computed for a window period within the current month, for all documents or with a custom function as per the documentation for the target object date key:
When ‘reported’, the target will count documents with a reported_date within the current month. When ‘now’, target includes all documents. A function can be used to indicate when the document should be counted. Default is ‘reported’.
Target configuration can be improved by making time period names more descriptive by:

renaming the reported keyword which computes values for documents submitted within the current month to current_month

renaming the now keyword which computes values for all documents submitted to all_time
This will make configuration of the Community Health Toolkit more intuitive, especially for users new to the platform.
