# Default config do not compile

Hi!

I tried to compile default project app-settings with medic-conf in directory …/medic/config/default but it failed displaying error:

I really do not want to start from 0 making configuration for app.

I used all the other pieces without contact-summary but then application is not working properly.

Hi Tamor, welcome to the CHT forum!

This problem has been [identified and fixed here](https://github.com/medic/cht-core/issues/6115), so it should not occur in the next release i.e. version 3.8.

For now, you should be able to bypass the warning by using debug mode:

> `medic-conf ... compile-app-settings -- --debug`
