# CHT Community Meetup - September 8, 2026 at 1:00 pm GMT

Building on the recent [geolocation enhancements released in CHT v5.3](https://docs.communityhealthtoolkit.org/releases/5_3_0/#improved-gps-data-on-contacts-forms), the [Smart Task Prioritization Squad](https://github.com/medic/cht-roadmap/issues/191) has taken the next step: they have built a proof of concept that displays due tasks on an in-app map based on GPS data captured in forms.

The goal of this improvement is to support CHWs **see where their tasks are, plan more effectively and prioritize their work** bringing location intelligence directly into their day-to-day workflows.

At our upcoming September Community Meetup, the community working group will showcase this POC and gather early feedback to help shape and refine the functionality.

**But there’s more!**  
We will also hear directly from implementers about their priorities, challenges and emerging needs. These valuable insights will help to inform how CHT continues to evolve.
