How to use the community health toolkit for an online course

Hi all,

I have been working on a project (a website/blog:https://www.strokecarer.com/) aimed at creating an online course based on best practices and research evidence to raise awareness, knowledge, and skills in improving care for stroke survivors. The primary target audience is carers, both professional and family. I am searching for a suitable platform with prior experience on similar projects.

Hi @Prasantha, what an exciting project! It sounds like a perfect fit for OppiaMobile, one of the resources included in the CHT! @Nick, any thoughts on this use case? :sparkles:

Hi @Prasantha,

Yes, it looks like it could be a good option to use Oppia for creating courses. There’s quite a bit more info about Oppia on the docs site (see: Welcome to the OppiaMobile documentation — OppiaMobile 0.14.9 documentation) and also a specific community forum (see: https://community.oppia-mobile.org/)

As Francesca mentioned, Oppia is part of the CHT toolkit, and we’re just starting some work with CHT/Medic Mobile team to improve the intergration and user experience when using the CHT and Oppia apps together.

Just let me know if you have any queries etc about how to get course in Oppia set up and running (happy to go through with you on skype call too),

Cheers,
Alex

Hi @Prasantha I’m excited you’re exploring OppiaMobile more! If you’re looking to really dig into Moodle, I’d recommend checking out their Forum as well! You can find it at: https://community.oppia-mobile.org/ Excited to hear what comes of your project in the future!

Sure, I can help out with this, please could you send me a direct email (to alex@digital-campus.org) so I can get the area set up for you, then give you the access info,

Cheers,
Alex

ps. apologies for delay getting back to you on this, I had to rebuild my laptop last week :unamused: so taken bit of time for me to get up and running again
